WHAT:  ~1900m Openwater Swim

WHERE: From the island of Ireland's Eye to the mainland beach just east of Howth harbour

WHEN: Sunday 4th September 2010 at 9.00am (This is race start time - Race sign-on from 7 to 8am)

Entry Fee €29 - Includes boat transfer from Howth Harbour to Ireland's Eye, swim bag and water bottle, etc

There will be strictly limited numbers for this event due to the necessity to transport participants to the island and to ensure adequate safety cover is available for all participants

Race sign-on will take place at the Scout Hall (This is on the left just after the Dart Station and before the harbour as you enter Howth village) between 7am and 8am to allow transfer of participants to the island in time for the start at 9.00

We will transport your outer clothing/ sandals / flipflops etc back from the island in a drawstring bag that we will provide.

This bag will be available at the beach at the finish so you can cover up and cheer others as they finish

Hot drinks and some food will be provided at completion and basic changing facilities will be at Race Sign-On Area in the Scout Hall

There will be NO Registration on the Day so Please don't turn up looking to enter!

Note: Wetsuits are recommended but not compulsory - there will be no differentiation of classes based on wetsuit or not.

The "Escape From Ireland Swim" event is for experienced and competent openwater swimmers only

You will be asked to sign a disclamier at race registration confirming this.

Please do not put your safety or that of others at risk by attempting this event if you are unsure of your ability to safely do so!
